Bedside Flowers

S P R I N G 2024

My newest collection of 5x7 oil paintings was inspired by the small bouquets I have left on my daughters nightstand for years. After filling vases around my home with flowers from my garden, I always made sure we both had a little arrangement of something beside our beds. Usually roses with delicious scents. When my daughter met the love of her life in the form an orange kitten named Michelangelo, the flowers on her nightstand had to stop. Her darling kittens favorite pastime is knocking things off surfaces he’s not meant to be on. So, I was inspired to paint a small framable bouquet of flowers from our garden for her to keep on her nightstand, a permanent bouquet.

I hope you enjoy browsing through some of my earliest flowers from my still life garden. And if these works end up on your nightstand, I pray they sweeten your dreams! My only regret is they aren’t scratch and sniff…. these early spring blooms smell divine!

Cheers!
